FALLING BODIES APPARATUS
- For demonstrating the unimpeded superimposition of motions.
- It consists of a launching rail with a returning spring.
- Two steel balls (19mm in diameter) are used as test bodies.
- The launcher has an L-Section, with holes for locating the two steel balls which act as projectiles.
- The launcher is released by a push button and upon triggering, one ball starts to fall downwards and simultaneously the other is launched horizontally.
- Both balls hit the ground at the same time.
- The launching mechanism is mounted on a wooden block (Dimensions = 180x60x30mm3), which may be clamped by bench and has a convenient storage pocket for the balls.
- The apparatus comes complete with two steel balls.
