HOOKE’S LAW (STUDENT APPARATUS)
- For proving Hooke’s Law of Elasticity, i.e. that the elongation of an object is directly proportional to the load applied and for demonstrating the phenomenon of simple harmonic motion of a vibrating weight, potential energy etc.
- The complete apparatus consists of an adjustable mirrored scale 15cm long, graduated in millimeters and mounted on a sturdy support rod, which is 30cm in length and fitted on a base.
- A hook attached to the rod supports a coiled spring with a weight holder and slotted weight; and an indicator is also attached to the rod.
- This apparatus is provided with 4 slotted weights and a weight holder, each of 50gm.
