SIMPLE GALVANOSCOPE
- Galvanoscopes were earlier instruments, which showed the presence of current and gave only a rough indication of its magnitude.
- Our galvanoscope consists of a plastic former with socket terminals.
- There is a circle marked, divided and figured every 45°, with a 75mm magnetic needle with brass bearing, pivoted at its centre.
- A coil wound with 30 turns of an enameled copper wire is used to set up the magnetic field which deflects the magnetic needle; when current passes through it.
- The galvanoscope operates on 4-6V.
