SODIUM VAPOUR LAMP
- This lamp is used as a source of monochromatic light.

- It is basically a gas-discharge lamp that uses sodium in an excited state to produce light at a characteristic wavelength near 589 nm.
- It consists of an outer glass vacuum envelope around an inner gas discharge tube containing solid sodium.
- It works at 35 Watts for producing monochromatic light at high intensity.
