Working Principle
The MM-5A Inverted Metallurgical Microscope illuminates the specimen from above using the LED light source. Light reflects off polished metal surfaces and passes through the objectives, which magnify the sample. The trinocular head splits the image for observation and camera attachment simultaneously. Fine focus and coarse adjustments allow precise depth control (0.002 mm), while the swing-out condenser and Köhler illumination provide uniform lighting. This setup ensures sharp, high-contrast imaging of metallurgical samples, enabling detailed analysis of grain structures, coatings, and surface defects.
